Tidy Dish collects minimal personal information to provide and improve our service. This includes:

• Account information: If you create a diner or restaurant account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Restaurant accounts may also include ownership verification documents and restaurant affiliation.
• Reviews and follows: Reviews, ratings, review photos, restaurants you follow, and restaurant-owner comments or listing photos are stored with your account so they can appear in the app.
• Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
• Device information: Through our mobile app, we may collect device type, OS version, and app version for debugging and improvement purposes.
• Location data: With your permission, the app uses your device location to show nearby restaurants on the map. Location data is used ephemerally and is not stored or shared.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Create and secure diner and restaurant accounts, including password resets.
• Publish named diner reviews and restaurant-owner responses after moderation.
• Verify restaurant owner identities and manage owner portal access.
• Send administrative communications (account verification, service updates).
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery) and who agree to confidentiality obligations.

Account data is retained until you delete your account from the Tidy Dish app or we terminate the account. Approved public reviews may remain on restaurant pages after deletion, without your name or email. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

We use essential cookies for session management and security. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) collect anonymous usage data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
